Game Design Research as Feminist Practice

Public lecture

16.30-18.00, 23 January
SOL:H104, Helgonabacken 12, Lund.

Green lines converge to a pattern.

Join us, as three prominent games researchers, Dr. Rilla Khaled, Dr. Sabine Harrer and Dr. Hanna Wirman discuss feminist informed research strategies for game design: How can feminist methodologies and epistemologies be harnessed to conduct research into game design as a practice and an industry. What issues should feminist game design research focus on and how? What knowledge and tools do the games industry need and what is the role of feminist informed games research in providing those? Khaled, Harrer and Wirman will each give a short inspirational talk, followed by a joint discussion.

Everyone is welcome to this public lecture, no registration is needed.

This lecture is arranged by The Fair Game Project (Enevold Duncan & Jørgensen), The research node for Digital Cultures, HEX and the Centre for Oresund Region Studies.
